Barclays was founded in 2000 and is based in Wilmington, Delaware. According to its website, Barclays’ core values include respect, integrity, service, excellence, and stewardship.
A review of Barclays’ profile on the Better Business Bureau’s website indicates that Barclays does not always practice its core values. Barclays has received numerous complaints for engaging in unfair, deceptive and abusive debt collection practices. In the last three (3) years, the Better Business Bureau has received 1,128 consumer complaints against Barclays. Of those 1,128 complaints, 589 complaints have been related to Barclays’ billing and debt collection practices.
